“See-Treat-Train”

PINCC hosts two one-week training camps at each clinic site to provide culturally competent clinical education for local medical personnel on how to properly screen and treat women in their communities. PINCC provides hands-on training to teach the traditional methodology commonly referred to as “See and Treat.” “See” is during a VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid), and “Treat” is learning the proper operation of the thermoablation devices.

This program approach emphasizes the importance of early and often screening to advert uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells from becoming cancer. After the training duration, proficient screening and treating trainees are certified by PINCC to continue “See & Treat” in their local clinics.

NEW HPV Self-Testing

HPV Self Test revolutionizes the screening process for cervical dysplasia. PINCC's HPV self-test can be done in the privacy of the patient's home and can be distributed in local LMICs communities reducing the resource barriers required in typical clinical settings. The HPV self-test collects cells of the cervix and vagina walls with a special brush and then placed inside a small vial containing a solution. The vials are collected through joint collaborations with local community health care workers and community health agencies. The vials are returned to PINCC trained laboratory technician and ran. PINCC communicates the results through SMS messaging with personalized follow-up instructions. PINCC anticipates to triple the number of women screened and treated through HPV self-testing.

Our Pledge to Sustainability

PINCC creates sustainable programs that continue to be ongoing throughout the world. PINCC has trained approximately 700 medical personnel and has certified 40 clinics in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Our self-sufficient sites continue to provide services to thousands of women every year. PINCC’s vision is to create sustainable programs that prevent cervical cancer and save countless women’s lives.

Thermocoagulator.

The technological cornerstone sustainability.

Sustainability would be impossible without the innovative piece of equipment called a Thermocoagulator. This portable, life-saving device revolutionized treatment protocols and elevated access to treatment in rural communities where cryotherapy was not sustainable. After training is complete, PINCC will donate the life-saving equipment where needed, leaving the site as a newly established, fully trained, self-sustaining clinic. PINCC remains a resource of support for all established clinics as we move to our next identified site.

20 seconds is all the Thermocoagulator requires to cure someone of cervical dysplasia the precursor of cervical cancer .
